Our story

Umilight is an idea that was born out of love for lighting, good design and the satisfaction that comes from working together on unique projects. We base our work on the knowledge and experience we have gathered, the constant need to deepen them, as well as intuition and commitment.

We believe that well-designed lighting has great power to shape space, create its functionality, affect emotions, build a sense of comfort and safety. We believe in an individual approach to the client, based on respect and commitment to each project.

We know that each of your projects is an exciting new path with many challenges. Despite the fact that your goal is clearly defined its realization can deceive into a dead end or prolong without bringing real benefits.

Photometric calculations

Photometric calculations are usually required when designing commercial buildings, offices, hotels, etc. In such a case, based on the submitted projection in the form of a .dwg or .pdf file, we create a design using the DialuxEvo, taking into account the latest standards contained in the EN 12464-1:2021 document.

The design includes all the elements necessary to be included in the design documentation.

The following aspects are taken into account:
- average illuminance Ēm on the working plane
- uniformity of illuminance U0
- color rendering index Ra
- glare index UGR

The design prepared in this way includes:
- list of luminaires used in the project
- product data sheets
- calculation objects with utility levels
- lighting scenes
- luminaire location plan
- false color graphics along with average light intensity in lx

At Umilight we deal with lighting, but the most important thing we can offer you is not a designer lamp at a good price, but time! Time so important in the implementation of the project and so valuable in the 21st century.

The concept we create consists of:

Process

01 - Direction

We start our cooperation by getting to know your needs. Whether lighting has already been included in the project or not, we will find the optimal solution for you. Our overriding principle is the individual approach to each project. At this stage we already know your needs, it remains to determine the direction and scope of cooperation.

02 - Consultations

This is the time when we will help you select the appropriate luminaires, consult existing designs, present possible alternatives, prepare the project. Arrangements made at this stage form the basis for the preparation of an offer, the terms of which are prepared individually for each project. After acceptance, the offer is implemented.

03 - Implementation

Each investment has its own schedule. We do our best to make the completion of the order fit into its implementation. Based on individual arrangements, we can divide the delivery of lighting into stages - an example is the delivery of technical lighting at the stage of finishing work and decorative lighting at the stage of interior design.
